Art happenings this weekend.
Tonight City Bird and Bureau of Urban Living are hosting the Canfield Street Market, which will include vintage clothing by MillieBea, T-shirts by Detroit Lives, and artwork by Sarah Burger. The Canfield Street Market will run from 5-10pm.
This Sunday from 5-10pm will be the opening reception for the It Came From the Gutter art show. The show will take place at the Garden Bowl at the Majestic and features 50 artists who were invited to convert bowling pins into works of art. Artists include: Mark Arminski, Gwen Joy, Tim Pewe, Matthew Hockaday, Jerry Shirts, Heather Accurso, Brian Stuhl, Wyl Lewis, Diane Whitehead, Ryan Matthews, Chris Bell, Marvin Shaouni, Oneita Porter, Dale Teachout, Karl Kanai, April Segedi , Heather Hansma, Mike Kelly, Holly Hinkle, Rolando Garcia, Drew Kups, Anita Andersons, and “Big” Joe McCuaig.

We got to design and print a poster for Darling Imperial's farewell show at the Berkley Front. They let us do whatever we wanted, so we went with vintage lettering and a weathered, faded feel.
