Concert Posters from Garrett Karol
Can you guys tell yet that I have a love for concert posters? I think it stems from two things. First, they allow two of my favorite things to intersect: design and music. And second, I’m a huge fan of using a limited color palette to great effect.
Garrett Karol is a graphic designer from Missouri who has done posters for Spoon, Stars, and The Thermals to name just a few bands. He uses thick typefaces that remind me of old wooden type. And his use of grungy textures give his his two or three color designs a ton of depth. Here are a few of my favorite posters he’s done. You can see more at garrettkarol.com.

OUR LATEST GIGPOSTER
We got to design and print a poster for Darling Imperial's farewell show at the Berkley Front. They let us do whatever we wanted, so we went with vintage lettering and a weathered, faded feel.
