dAP Mural Progress Pics
Jeremy from River’s Edge Gallery asked me to do a live painting during Friday and Saturday of the Wyandotte street fair. I had a great time talking to fellow artists and to people who otherwise would never have had a chance to see my work. Thanks to Aimee of River’s Edge Gallery for letting me use some of her pics.

Here I am spraying her hair. You can see the stencil adhered to the board, which will then be removed and recut to allow for another color to be sprayed.

This is after I had sprayed the shadows and highlights on the face. The next step is the eyes

This is a detail of her right eye. The eye alone takes five layers of stencils to complete.

After the paint is dry I like to sand down the piece which allows the collage to show through and adds a weathered aesthetic to the painting.

Done, thanks Dick Blick!

OUR LATEST GIGPOSTER
We got to design and print a poster for Darling Imperial's farewell show at the Berkley Front. They let us do whatever we wanted, so we went with vintage lettering and a weathered, faded feel.
