Design from Calgary
What’s going on in Calgary? Lots of good things are coming out of Alberta, and not just my favorite goalie that I’m not married to.
Drew Ng-how-tseung‘s portfolio is mostly digital imaging and logo work, with only a few posters. I wish there were more! My two favorites:
Next is Justin LaFontaine. I love these two posters for their clean lines slightly roughed up by grungy texture.
And finally, I can’t talk about Calgary without mentioning Uppercase Magazine. The subscription isn’t cheap, and I hemmed and hawed over getting one for a long time. Finally, just as Issue 1 was about to run out, I took the plunge. It’s so worth it. I love everything about it, especially the typefaces they use and the way the paper feels. I can’t wait for Issue 3 to hit my mailbox.
These images and more can be found at Uppercase’s Flickr page. You can subscribe at the Uppercase online shop.

OUR LATEST GIGPOSTER
We got to design and print a poster for Darling Imperial's farewell show at the Berkley Front. They let us do whatever we wanted, so we went with vintage lettering and a weathered, faded feel.
