Kristin Barr
There is definitely a storybook quality to the illustrations of Kristin Barr. Her girls are pretty, mythical creatures like forest queens and Victorian princesses. It’s no wonder that her subjects are so dreamlike when her real life surroundings seem like a fairy tale – a 100-year old house in a small Michigan village surrounded by orchards.
Kristin currently has a show at Starkweather Arts Center along with another local illustrator, Kat Thacker. It was originally going to come down on June 19th, but it’s been extended to the 27th. You can also see more of Kristin’s work at her portfolio, blog and Etsy shop.

We got to design and print a poster for Darling Imperial's farewell show at the Berkley Front. They let us do whatever we wanted, so we went with vintage lettering and a weathered, faded feel.
