Alex Cherry / Of Sound And Vision

One of my design teachers once explained to me that the goal of digital imagery was to trick the human eye. If you know how to manipulate those 72 dots per inch, you can make a few pixels look like anything. Alex Cherry is amazingly good at this. His work is all digital, but it has so much depth and texture that I had to ask him first to be sure.

We got to design and print a poster for Darling Imperial's farewell show at the Berkley Front. They let us do whatever we wanted, so we went with vintage lettering and a weathered, faded feel.
