Our Redesign is DONE!

Hello! Things look a little different around here, don’t they?

We wanted to accomplish a lot with this redesign. Hopefully we made some things better:

Bigger images. The old template was definitely hindering our ability to show off artists’ work.
A logo and brand identity. The typeface is Walkway, which you can also see in the blog headers thanks to the wonderful Cufon plugin. The octagon logo is inspired by a bird’s eye view of the Renaissance Center. While I was rendering it, a Phoenix song started playing with the lyrics “the octagon logo had to rip it up”. I took it as a sign.
Making our best posts easier to find. On your right, you’ll find links to all of our tutorials and interviews.
Linking related posts together. At the end of each post, you can click on whatever it was tagged with to see more good stuff.
Links to all of our homes on all of our internets. At the top of the page, we now have links to our Facebook, Twitter, and Flickr pages. The Shop link goes to our Big Cartel page, where you can buy our prints. (We have ONE “First Snow” print left at our house (Update: SOLD! Wooo!) and a brand new print is coming out later this week!!)
A proper blog roll. On the right, you’ll find links to local galleries and organizations, many of which I’m happy to say we’ve gotten to know in the past year.

There are definitely some kinks that need to be worked out, so feel free to leave a comment or email if you see anything wonky. Otherwise, what do you think?

OUR LATEST GIGPOSTER

We got to design and print a poster for Darling Imperial's farewell show at the Berkley Front. They let us do whatever we wanted, so we went with vintage lettering and a weathered, faded feel.
