Meth Motel Print for Meth and Hot Dogs 2 at Lift Detroit
We wanted to participate in the upcoming Meth and Hotdogs 2 show at Lift Designer Toys & Gallery in Royal Oak, curated by Kill Taupe. Kill Taupe suggested that we do a collaboration of sorts. So he tasked us with creating a print using his Meth and Hotdogs Character. We decided to push ourselves a bit and try to make our first ever four color process print.

See the process of how we made the print behind the cut.
Olly Moss
Olly Moss‘ work is simple, yet genius. This is the kind of designer that I think most people strive to be. One that creates attractive, clean work that gets the point across. Be sure to check out his Flickr photostream to see more of his work.

Joshua Petker
Joshua Petker began as a street artist in college, but after a trip to Italy he decided to pursue a more traditional path. His female portraits have evolved a lot over the last few years (not that his earlier works aren’t gorgeous, too.) He’s also released some beautiful giclées hand embellished with glitter.

The Firecracker Press
The Firecracker Press is a letterpress / design studio based out of St. Louis, Missouri. It was founded by Eric Woods in 2002. What I love about their work is that while the designs are done digitally, they print everything using hand mixed ink, hand set type, and hand carved wood blocks. This is quite impressive considering how many letterpress studios have switched to photopolymer plates.

Alyson Sommerfield
These prints by Michigan’s own Alyson Sommerfield are awesome. Each of these linoleum block prints, measuring 8″ x 10″ are drawn, cut and, pulled by hand.

OUR LATEST GIGPOSTER
We got to design and print a poster for Darling Imperial's farewell show at the Berkley Front. They let us do whatever we wanted, so we went with vintage lettering and a weathered, faded feel.
