Con Artist Crew is a new space in Grand Rapids that’s gaining steam fast. The After Show will be our second time exhibiting there (the first was our Supermoon Owl screenprint for their Nightvision show). Our dear and talented friend Ryan Weiss, who is curating, kept the theme very loose and open to interpretation.
We chose to do a ghost girl haunting her dilapidated childhood treehouse. “Everyone Else Grew Up and Moved Away…Except Me” is a 3 color, 16×20 screenprint, edition of 48. We try to push ourselves to do new things at the last minute and the thing we tried to screw up this time was to create a transparent metallic pigment. The ghostly white/silvery ink took a few tries to get right but we love how it turned out. And now we have a big container of it! Ghosts for everyone!
